Maintenance Control Duty Engineer [contract position]

120,000–145,000 NZD p.a., Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand. This is a contract position only and involves shift work on a rotating 4-week roster (3 weeks on and 1 week off).

Plane Business International has an opportunity for a contract Maintenance Control Duty Engineer in Christchurch and Auckland, New Zealand. Candidates for this placement must hold a current New Zealand Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (B1 or B2) with a B737-3/4/8 type rating (or equivalent) and be acceptable to our client. Additionally, based within CAMO, you will work closely with all areas of flight operations, line maintenance, and safety to assist with the continued serviceability of the client’s aircraft and achieve agreed targets.

  • Responsible for mitigating risk to aircraft availability from any unscheduled maintenance event.
  • Provide direction and oversight to approved line maintenance providers to assure continued airworthiness.
  • Provide regular, real-time aircraft fleet maintenance status reports to the client’s business and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the rectification or deferral of all line defects to ensure the work is carried out correctly, by persons and at facilities approved to do so, is properly recorded and the fleet is at all times safe to operate.

Notwithstanding, minimum requirements include a New Zealand CAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence (or equivalent). Preference will be given to candidates who hold a B737-3/4/8 type rating or who can demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
